Liz Borkowski
Liz Borkowski is a Research Associate at The George Washington University’s School of Public Health and Health Services. She spent several years writing about environmental and social justice issues for the nonprofit Co-op America, and she has a particular interest in the topic of environmental health. She holds a BA in English from the University of Delaware.

Celeste Monforton
Celeste Monforton, MPH, DrPH is a lecturer and researcher at The George Washington University’s School of Public Health and Health Services.  She earned her masters of public health in 2004 and her doctorate of public health in 2008.  Celeste worked at the US Department of Labor’s OSHA (1991-1995) as a policy analyst, and at MSHA (1996-2001) as special assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Labor.  Her research interests include regulatory policy and its affect on implementing timely protection for workers from occupational health hazards.  For most of 2006, Celeste served with J. Davitt McAteer on a special investigation of the January 2006 Sago Mine disaster
