The Science, Technology, and Law (STL) Program's purpose is to improve communication and promote understanding between the disparate but interconnected disciplines of science and the law. The purpose of the Panel's first meeting was to share information about a number of areas in which science and law interact so that all the members of the Panel, with their different backgrounds, would be in a better position to determine the Panel's future agenda.
